considered to be the proper was to do and the desks ot senators and representatives were fairly filled with beautiful cut lowers while tho corridors were jammed with well dress ed men and women today only tho usual moro or less shabby crowd occupied scabs scats in the galleries many of them more because it was warmer there than out of doors than because of any interest in the proceedings and the bouquets on the hoor of either house or senate were few and far between and most of those probably came from some ot tha conservatories conserva tories the price of flowers gets out of the reach of ordinary incomes in washington about a week before christmas and dont get down until the social season Is over As a show the reassembling of congress was a dead frost the most gorgeous masculine
