Show TWO DIVORCE SUITS FILED wives have alleged unsatisfactory husbands mealissa Me ilissa J charges her husband with drunkenness and kose S Emanueal aus charges men support two divorce suits were filed in tho clerks of the second district court today both by wives and against their husbands the first is mellissa J who by her attorneys richards and allison asks a separation from her husband charles A and at the same time makes the ogden state bank a party of the suit on account of a de pasit which the defendant has therein the complaint charges the said charles J with disregarding his duties as a husband toward said plaintiff and that he has been guilty of habitual drunkenness tor more than three years past that they were married on sept ag 1895 and have two children that he has certain property personal and otherwise including a deposit of in the ogden state bank that sho is dependent upon charity and her own labor tor her support that since her marriage with defendant he has treated her in a cruel and inhuman manner and has used liquor to such an extent as to almost entirely incapacitate him from performing his daily labor that ho comes homo in an intoxicated condition at least twice a week and on such occasions he applies vile vulgar and abusive epithets to her in the presence of the children and that upon jan 3 1900 especially set forth he came homo intoxicated and attempted to forcibly eject her from their home saying to her in the presence of neighbors you can go and come back when you get a g d ready etc and that he has at sundries and divers occasions called her all sorts of vile and obscene names in the presence of witnesses and telling her that he had had sexual anler course with other women and that he had occupied the same bed in a hotel with another woman and it was none of her d d business that is a man of ungovernable temper and an d unfit to have the custody of the children for which custody an equable division of the property and for divorce she prays and that defendant be restrained from disposing of any property pending a settlement of this suit rose stead by her attorneys tor E T and J S peery prays for divorce from her hus band john manuel on the ground of nonsupport non support and tor tha custody of their children |
