Show TRIP AROUND THE WORLD BY OGDENITES A. W. Hadlov and Dr. H. B Forbes left Ogdon this aftorncon for a tour around the world. They will proceed to Seattlo, sailing Tuesday aboard the Great Northern steamship, "Minnesota," "Minne-sota," for Yokohama, Japan. Thoy will visit the various points of interest inter-est throughout the Japanese empire, including Nlkko and its hallowed shrines to the north of Toklo, Osaka, Kobe, Kioto and Nagasaki, also the great volcano, "Fugiyama," near Ha-kone Ha-kone and another large one in the southern part of the country. From Japan they will proceed to Shanghai and thence to Pekln, by way of the Yangtze Klang river to Hankow Han-kow and then north over the Imperial railroad. They expect to meet Rev F V Fisher at Pekln and will make an overland trip to the Great Wall during their stay there Mr. Hadlej is provided with letters of Introduction Introduc-tion to President Sun Yet Son and will write a number of special articles on the now regime In China. From Pekln tho party will return to Shanghai and thence to Manila, where they will mako a comprehensive comprehen-sive tour of the Philippine Islands, visitng the Igorrotes, hoad hunters, and other tribes In northern Luzon and many of the smaller Islands. Mr. Fisher will proceed to Australia from Manila, while Messrs. Hadlcy and Forbes will return to Hong Kong and Cantcn for a visit In that portion of China They will sail thence to Singapore and after a two weeks' rambling In Malay land and tho strait settlements, will proceed to Columbo on the Island Isl-and of Colon From there they will take a sailing ship for Rangoon. Burma, and thence to Calcutta. India. Through India, Mr Hadloy will make Investigations in connection with a proposed Oriental Chautauqua circuit. In which Rev Fisher Is Interested with Dr. Akcd of San Francisco. After a complete tour of India, Including In-cluding Calcutta, Lucknow, Cawnpore, Delhi, Agra, Bombay, and other Important Im-portant cities and districts they will return to Colombo and proceed westward west-ward by way of EgpL Palestine, Turkey. Greece Crete, Sicily. France, Spain, London and New York City. |
