Show THE MEN AND WOMEN WITH BANDANAS, A train of nine cars of Progressives arrived from the southern part of Utah at an early hour this morning and, headed by a band, the delogates marched up Twenty-fifth street and along Washington avenue to Twenty-fourth street. Hats trimmed with bandanas, the marchers made a striking appearance. The general comment was that the parade was the largest political poli-tical demonstration of the kind ever seen in Ogden. There have been many state conventions held in this city, but none to compare, in point of numbers, enthusiasm or the average intelligence in-telligence of the delegates, with the state gathering now in session in the Orpheum theater. This augurs well for the Progressives in the State of Utah. The leaven is working. By election day there will be a great surprise dealt out to those who now are so politically blind they cannot see that the people have wearied of the old parties. |
