Show WOMEN TRY TO STOP MEETING Dundee, Scotland, Sept. 13. Suffragettes Suffra-gettes did their best to break up a meotlng at Lochco, a suburb, whero Winston Spencer Churchill, first lord of the admiralty, was speaking. After many porsons had beon ejected, Mr. Churchill said the political status of women would not bo won "by such uncivilized antics as have Just been witnessed." During his speoch Mr. Churchill outlined a system of federation for Great Britain He said England alono "K-aB too large for a single parliament which would be strong as an imperial parliament and that conflict of opinion opin-ion would be disastrous. He suggested suggest-ed that England be broken up into provinces, such as Lancashire, Yorkshire, York-shire, Midlands and London. no |
