The little crib which hold tbe mother of Colonel Roosevelt when she was a baby will bo shown the Progresshe presidential candidate when he visits this city the last of the present month. The quaint bed, with a high railing of slender spludlcB and Tour knobbed posts, was round in Roswell, near here, whero the colonel's mother waB horn. On the bottom side of the crib, outlined out-lined with a nail .point in-.fine letters let-ters are tho words "Made by Denny Genlery, for James Bulloch, March 15, 1835." C. W. McCluro of Atlanta. Progressive Progres-sive national committeeman from Georgia, recently obtained the bed Ho has an affidavit from "Mammy Grace." who was Mrs. Rocsevelt's negro nurse that the bed is the ono used by Colonel Roosevelt's mother as a baby. The colonel's mother's maiden name was Mlttle Bulloch. |
