Show Society FREY-MOORE. A pretty home wedding was solemnized sol-emnized at 2 o'clock this afternoon when Rev John E. Carver united by the beautiful ring ceremony of the Presbyterian church, Sadie K. Frey. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C W. Frey, and Frank E. Moore, both popular and highly esteemed young people of Ogden. The home was beautifully decorated decorat-ed with a wealth of sweetpeaB. carnations, car-nations, lilies, snapdragons, smilax,-And smilax,-And fern, arranged in artistic profusion profu-sion Beneath trailing smilax and flowers the bride and groom, took their places and the beautiful words of the nuptial ceremony were impressively impres-sively pronounced, the immediate family of Miss Frey and Mr. Moore and a few friends only being present. The bride in a lovely white lingerie gown with dainty lace and pearl trimming and carrying a beautiful shower bouquet made a picture charmingly sweet. Following the marriage ceremony and the offering of congratulations and best wishes for their future happiness hap-piness and prosperity the wedding luncheon was served and a happy social so-cial hour enjoyed, the young couple lcaing at 4 o'clock for Salt Lake where thoy will spend a brief honeymoon honey-moon at the Hotel Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Mooro will be at home to their friends at their apartments, 2054 Washington avenue, after September Sep-tember 1, RETURNS FROM TRIP. Mrs. M. J. Stone has returned after a ten weeks' tour of California, with her daughter. Miss Bertha Stone, who has been teaching for two years or more in Imperial Valley. Relatives and friends were also visited and a most enjoyable trip was had. Miss Berbha Is now in San Francisco Fran-cisco and will not come to Ogden this season owing to the short time now remaining before the opening of the fall semester. LAWN SOCIAL. A lawn social will be ghen tomorrow tomor-row afternoon and evening, beginning at 3 o'clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. .7 Kowse at 22C1 Lincoln avenue, under the auspices of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the I. A. of M. Music Instrumental and vocal, and a varied social program with the serving serv-ing of refreshments will make the occasion repleto with pleasure for all who attend CALEDONIAN SOCIETY. The Caledonian society met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Drys-dalo Drys-dalo and rules of the federation were adopted. Further work was postponed until after the meeting In Salt. Lake next week. At the local meeting next week fivo new members will be initiated. VAN PATTENS TO ENTERTAIN. The G- A. R .Relief Corps and tho Circles will be entertained at tho home of Mr. and Mrs. A. Van Patten tomorrow evening at their home, 2353 Monroe avenue. ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Rhine announce the engagement of their daughtor, Myrtle, to Emil Eklund, the wedding to take place in the near future. PARTY POSTPONED. . The L, O. T. M. party which was to be held by Silver Hive. No. 1, this evening, has been postponed to a date to be announced later. Mr. and Mrs. Stacy Taylor have returned re-turned to their home in Goldficld, Nevada, Ne-vada, after a two-weeks' visit with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Swanson. Mr. and Mrs. .1. A. Roston and family fam-ily left yesterday for a three-weeks' outing at Bear Lake, Idaho. |
