Show nu 1 we In the matter of the estate and , guardianship of Nora A. Kyne, her father. P. C. Kyne, has petitioned tho district court for letters of guardianship. guardian-ship. It Is related in the petition that Nora has an dotato consisting of a judgment affirmed by the supreme court of the state amounting to $7,-750 $7,-750 and accrued interest, the Judgment Judg-ment having been secured In the district dis-trict court about a year ago. It will be recalled that Nora A. Kyne, 11 years old, met with an accident acci-dent at Lakeside on the Southern Pacific railroad, in which her left foot was so badly crushed that it was necessary nec-essary to amputate it at the instep, leaving her a cripple for life. Her father sued the company for damages dam-ages and she was awarded the sum above given by the jury. The injury was inflicted through Nora being struck by a car in a work train at Lakeside, dragging her quite a distance and throwing her under I a wheel which passed over her foot. j Since the suit was concluded Nora has attended tho Sacred Heait Acad- emy In this city Her father lives in the vicinity of Lucin, where Mr Kyne Is engaged in tho sheep business. |
