A. j Smith of Ogdcn. When Prof Smith B was superintendent of schools at Wa- ! hoo and his brother, C. E. Smith, was J principal of the high school, O. K. t Davis was a school bay, the son of B the editor of the local paper. On Prof, Smith's advice, young Davis j went cast to became a newspaper re- J porter. He made a success of his calling from his first assignment on the New York Sun Slnco then he has J grown to the importance of a great H. magazine writer and a leader of men. J So when Prof. Smith saw in last c-von- lng's Standard that his protege of long H ago had gained new fame he sent the j following telegram: I "O. K. Dals, Secretary Bull Moose W Convention.
