Show oo Water Threatens Ruin to Towns in Mississippi Bottoms New Roads, La., May 13. Circling tho bluffs of Falso river which had served tomporarllj- to check Its pro-grosB, pro-grosB, flood water from tho leveo at Torras is todaj spreading ruin over the towns of tho thickly settled country coun-try south of here. Plantation after plantation along tho Mississippi bottoms, bot-toms, some of thom tho largest and richest sugar cano producing fields on tho west bank of tho river are covered with water. A report from Irvlnvillo, fifteen miles north of Port Allen, reached hero today that tho water was 14 feet deep in that town. One hundred and fifty persons aro said to be marooned thero. Lieut. Rogers of tho federal relief -corps is preparing to send aid. Reports from Grosso Tote and, Fordocho state that negroes marooned maroon-ed there are looting stores and residences. resi-dences. Rail communication between New Roads and points south was seriously ser-iously threatened today. Vldalia Flooded Natchez, Miss.. May 13.
