Show oo PRISONERS ARE BURNED TO DEATH Crowley. La., Dec. 4. William Collier Col-lier of Lot Angeles and an 'unidentified 'uniden-tified companion were burned to death in the local city jail early yesterday after they had set fire to the structure struc-ture in an effort to escape. They never got out of their cells, where their charred bodies were found when the fire was extinguished The two men were admonished during dur-ing the day by Collin Le Bleu not to attempt to escape In that manner. The fire not only cost the perpetrators perpetra-tors their lives, but resulted in the serious burning of Lc Bleu. Ci'lcs of j the three men in that section of the jail brought no aid, as the flames swiftly ate toward their wooden cells. Finally the door of Le Bleu's cell was burned partially and he burst it down and dashed through the flames to the jail yard, where he fell unconscious un-conscious Collier and his companion were arrested ar-rested on the charge of "drunken and disorderly" conduct. |
