OCR Text	Show M'DEVITT KICKED OUT BY THE SOCIALISTS San Francisco. Jan. 19 William McDevitt, recently the Socialist nominee nom-inee for mayor, was expelled from tho Socialist party last night for having hav-ing nccepted an election commisslon-ership commisslon-ership from Mayor Rolph. Tho Socialist Social-ist city central committee directed his expulsion last night by a vote of 17 to 1. The charges of unfaithfulness grew out of the party's indorsement of C. W. Hogue, a striking Southern Pacific Pa-cific shopman, for the commission. Mayor Rolph positively declined to, consider Hogue and for that reason' asked McDevitt to accept the place. After declining an ofTer to resign McDevitt announced his intention of appealing to the entire .membership of the party.
