Chicago's jiodr ' v.iil ha an opportunity, next sum- "I f i mor, to purchase ice at a price never before obtained In this city as a result re-sult of action decided m to'day by a city council committee, 'immense quantities of Ice -will be jiarvested from a pool near the city jail and it will J)o put, up in temporary sheds until sanction from the. council for permanent brick Btructures can he obtained. The ice will be harvested by prisoners pris-oners in the city prison. Only enough will bo charged for the ice lo repay re-pay the city for its harvesting and It will be sold only to persons certified certi-fied by tho city and county charity agents. " (
