At roll call each lady responded with a quotation from Ibsen Following Follow-ing the minutes and business the lesson les-son from "Norwegian Life," one of the books in the , Bay view course, proved an Interesting number and a biographical biograph-ical sketch of Ibsen by Mrs. Benson was entertainingly presented The third number of the program was not given, the lady to whom this subject was assigned, being unavoidably absent. ab-sent. Q. & D. CLUB. Tho Q. and D. club met for their last meeting' with Mrs. Howell Slater ;it her pretty new home, 522 Thirteenth street. The rooms wore exceptionally exceptional-ly attractiye In their adornment -of carnations and Terns. Five hundred was tho diversion of tho afternoon, Mrs. Carl Allison and Mrs. W. J Manning Man-ning receiving first and second prizes respectively. A daintily appointed luncheon followed fol-lowed the card games and tho usual merry social hour preceded adjournment, adjourn-ment, which wns made to meet Friday, March S, with Mrs, Irving P Arnold, at her apartments, 277R Grnnt avenue. Tribe entertained at a "goober" party at which Miss Sylvia Syl-via Shaw was honor guesl. BRIDGE PARTY Among the social events of tho week occurred the beautifully arranged ar-ranged bridge whist party given Thursday by Mrs. A. V.
