Show POLICE SAY ROSE WILL BE RELEASED SALT LAKE, Jan. 22, Today's developments de-velopments In the atrocious murder of Mrs. Marcia S. Grorf at her home. 22 East Second South street, have practically eliminated suspicion that John Borlan Rose, who admits that he was the woman's lover, strangled ber. This morning Rose convinced the police that ho had nothing to do with the woman's murder, but he is still being hold ax the city Jail, and it is possible that a charge of vag-rancydwlll vag-rancydwlll bo lodged aganibt him. Chief of Police Grant, Lieutenant Hompel and Captain of Detectives Bcckstcad and tho detectives under him declared this afternoon that so far as the murder is concerned they haven't a shadow of evidence against young Rose, and he may bo released without any chargo being placed against him. At noon todny Rose was closely questioned by Captain Bcckstoad and Detective Ed Janney. He repealed the story he told yesterday without tho slightest variation.
