Show COTTON GINNED IN THE UNITED STATES Washington, aJn. 23. Tho census burcnu's ninth cotton ginning report, showing tho number of running bales of the growth of 1911 ginned prior to Jan. 10, follows: United States, H,510,67G: round bales 97.GC8, sea island 109,592. By states. Arkansas 798,153; Oklahoma 916,-348; 916,-348; Texas 3,9G4,2G-J. The vast 1911 cotton crop of the United States had been ginned and baled to the extent of 14.510.G7C bales on Jan 1G, according to the census bureau's report IsBued today, showing show-ing 193,674 bales were ginned from Jan. 1 to 15 inclusive. GInnors this season have been forced to greater activity .than over before by the enormous enor-mous crop. A considerable quantity stjll remain re-main to bo ginned. The exact amount will be mado known by tho census bureau's final ginning report March 20, giving figures up to Feb. 2S. Today's ginning report Is about 375,000 bales less than tho department depart-ment of agriculturo's estimate of production, pro-duction, which was 14,085,000 bales of 500 pounds gross weight. |
