All four H of the defendants pleaded not guilty, B while the attorney for tho two Mitch- BL ells entered a plea of not guilty for Bj another Greek, said to be implicated H in tho trouble, who was unable to ap- Mfl penr it having -beon shown ,that ho mat left town yesterday before he could B be notified that the case would bo B- heard today. B A dozen witnesses were summoned B. by the city and half as many more B by the defense and it is not thought B that the case can be finished today. B Tho first witness placed on the Bj stand testified that he was not pros- B ent when the fight started, but saw K Tom Mitchell appear in the doorway B of the fruit store with a rifle in his B; hand, when someone restrained him B and ho did not go out on the street B2 with the weapon |
