Show RUN HORSEBACK HttBSJP BOY Salt Lake, Dec 13 Something new in tho way of holdup methods devel-opod devel-opod last night shortly before 1" o'clock when Elmo R. Morgun, aged 18 years, son of J. W. Morgan, 404 East Fourteenth South street, was held up and robbed of $26 by a lone horseman. The robbery took place in Fourteenth Four-teenth South street, near Third East street. Young Morgan was going eastward east-ward on his way home Ho was walking walk-ing in the roadway, as there are no sidewalks in that district. From the opposite direction from which he was walking, a horseman galloped up to him. "Throw up your hands or I'll kill you," shouted the horseman, who covered cov-ered Morgan with a revolver. The young man threw up his hands and the horseman dismounted and, holding tho reins in one hand, went through the pockets of his victim with the other. In the pockets of Morgan the holdup hold-up man found one $20 gold piece, a ?5 gold piece and $1 in silver. After he had searched the young man the hlchwayman mounted his horse and galloped away toward Salt Lake. The matter was loported to the police po-lice and all livory stables were communicated com-municated with in an effort to locate lo-cate the horse.. No trace of the robber rob-ber had been found by the police up to an early hour this morning. Morgan describes the man who hold him up as being about six feet in height, about 25 years of age and of slender build. The highwayman rode a dark horse. The animal was saddled. sad-dled.
