According to the now court rules, which went into effect today, attorneys attor-neys for the plaintiff beforo the supremo su-premo court must file their briefs three wook'H boforo a caso is to be called call-ed for oral argument. Defendants' attorneys at-torneys must file briefs one week before be-fore thp arguments aro made. In all cases the clerk of tho court Is Instructed to receive no briefs whore counsel have not. served copies on opposing counsel. Tho latter provision pro-vision was designed to put an end to counsel appearing beforo the court, unprepared to answer arguments on the opposing side and delaying tb' court by supplemental briefs, deal Ing with tho opposing argument. The court has announced Its Intention to receive no brlofa after a caso has been argued orally. Tho new rules will not be enforcou rlgldlv at once.
