Rich, president of the eastern states mission of the Mormon Mor-mon church, was the speaker at a special sorvice nt the tabernacle yesterday yes-terday afternoon. Elder Rich is one of the most able and fluent speakers In tho church and his address was received with marked attention by tho large audience. In his remarks ho explained very clearly tho broad conception of the Mormon church regarding tho pre-exlstence, pre-exlstence, the life of today and the life in the world to come: characterizing them as a round of eternal progression, progres-sion, In which man would bo exalted or condomned, nccording to his works while in tho flesh. J The late Robert G. Ingorsoll was referred re-ferred to by the speaker, who related an incident in the life of the noted agnostic, which resulted in the redemption re-demption of a young man who had strayed from the path of righteousness. righteous-ness.
