Sir John Johnson won his first raco in many months when he took the midsummor handicap, a dash of soven furlongs. Red Wine, of the starters, fell and broke his neck. Results: First race, soven furlongs Veneta Stone, 7 to 1, won; Lord Aryl, 6 to 1. socond; Carillion, 7 to 1, third. Time, 1:25 1-5.
