Browning, president of tho Ogden Poultry association, returned from Logan this 'morning, where ho visited the chicken show at that city yestorday, enthusiastic over the splendid splen-did exhibition of flnc3 birds in tho Tomplo city of the north. I Mr Browning states that Logau has the finest display of chickens ho over saw and ho Is certain that It excels ex-cels anything in the chlckon lino yot placed on exhibition in the state. It is explained, though, that the Cacho county people havo been earnestly fostering the chlckon business for tho.past number of years, and, assisted assist-ed by the experiments made by tho state agricultural college, they have . reached a high point in tho poultry j business. A poultry show has boen i held thero for tho paat number of years, at which sllvor loving cups and other prizes havo been given the successful suc-cessful competitors. There aro over COO first-class chickens chick-ens on exhibition, excluding pigeons and bantams, and tho competition for prizes is keen. Tho show will con-tlnuo con-tlnuo the entlro week, during which period a number of social functions i will bo given in the city for tho benefit ben-efit of tho bird fanciers from different parts of tho country. Mr. Browning will tell tho chicken men of Ogden about the Logan show: and he will Insist that they ontor into ' tho spirit of chicken raising with moro earnestness than In the past. j Tho Ogdon association will be fully organized within tho noxt ten days and it is honed that annual chicken shows will bo given hero In the fn- ' ture. Tho Wober club and othor organizations or-ganizations will bo urged to lend at least their moral support to tho poultry poul-try shows. |
