E. -McAfco of New York City, as expressed last night before be-fore tho board of home missions of I tho Presbyterian church In session here. As a remedy, ho advocated tho union of as many churches as possiblo in small communities. "We have heen paying too much attention at-tention to church extension and not enough to organization" Dr. McAfee said. "Wo ought to do away with some of our little churches. We are shackled with too much lntemperato pioneering in the rural field. What we need now is to call a halt and diagnose dia-gnose our needs in the way of organization. or-ganization. A remedy for tbo many churches Is, if possible to unite them with others' |
