Show FEARFUL DEATH MET BY WIFE OF MINER Salmon City, Ida . Feb. 2G. Mrs. Joseph Moodie is dead here as the result re-sult of burns aud exposure to cold. During the past year Mr. and Mrs. Moodie have been living In a two-room cabin, nenr the Copper Queen mine, about seven miles northwest from town. The mine has been closed down during tho winter and Moodie has been acting as watchman and also doing work on the Starlight group of claims, a mile and a half over the divide. The Moodles were the only family stopping at tho mine. Some days ago the catin caught fire from tho chimney. Mrs. Moodie, who was In tho place with a thrce-months-old child, took the baby into a tent near the cabin and returned! to the binning building in the attempt to save some clothing. While she was inside the roof foil in. blocking the doorway Before she managed to get out her clothing was almost entirely burned from her body. Frantic with pain and terror, she started ou the rough two-mile journey jour-ney to where her husband was working work-ing at the Starlight mine. Parts of the way s'o must have crawled on her hands a knees, as the trail was marked fragments of her burnt clothing.
