J , about eight miles north of here. Cars are reported over tho embankment embank-ment and burning. One estimate Is one hundred killed. Railroad officials are summoning doctors from all points They admit the wreck is very serious, but give no number of killed or wounded. The wires are down. It was a Delaware, Lackawuna & Western railroad train running over Pennsylvania tracks Twenty-five persons have been taken ta-ken from the wrecked cars frightfully injured. Twenty-five more are reported re-ported dead The train jumped the track. It was a school teachers' excursion from Utlca, N. Y., to Atlantic City, N. J The train came down as far as Stroudberg on the Delaware, Lacka-wana Lacka-wana & Western railroad and was there transferred to the Pennsylvania "While the train was passing Martins Mar-tins creek, going at the rate of fifty miles an hour, the cars left the track. Almost immediately the wreckage took fire, there being no means to check the flames, tho cars burned fiercely, Every physician for mllos around was summoned and they hurried to the scene on special trains and in automobiles.
