With the unanimous unani-mous adoption of tho foregoing resolution resolu-tion jtwt befcy-e adjournment Monday Mon-day afternoon, tho associated health officers of Utah accomplished the flrst definite work of their fourth annual convention, which opened Monday morning at 19 East First South, street. Tho convention will continue through todav, and will end with a lecture at the tuberculosis exhibit tonight. Tho adoption of tho resolution by unanimous voto, came as somowhat of a surprise after the objection was raised bv Dr. H. A. Adamson of Richmond Rich-mond and others at the morning eos-alon. eos-alon. When the drafting of such a resolution wns suggested by Dr. Nelson Nel-son of Mftntl, Dr. C. H. Wright of Provo, vice president of the association associa-tion and nctlng as chairman of the couvontlon In the absjence of President F. B. Clark of Logan, was empower- ( ed to appoint a committer for tho i purpose Dr. Nelson and Dr. Adamson were named as members of the committee. com-mittee. Dr. Adamson declined the appointment, saying that he thought the association was taking too much upon itself, nnd might incur the dis- pleasure of those affected by adopting such a resolution. Dr. W. T. Hasler of Lehl. who was also named as ono of tho committee, asked that his name bo withdrawn for similar reasons. Dr. T. B. Beatty oxpresse d himself as being unqualifiedly In favor of the action, ac-tion, and ho and Dr. Nelson, Dr. Glea-son Glea-son of Kaysville and Dr. Reese of Ogden wore appointed as committee members on tho resolution. |
