Show BANK-GUARANTY LAWS VALID. Oklahoma several years ago passed a novel law requiring banks to contribute to a sort of insuranco fund which in case of the failure of any bank should be used to pay back tho poople who had deposited in such bank. Similar bank-guaranty laws were passed in Nebraska and Kansas, and then the whole matter was taken to tho supremo court, for somo of the banks argued that such laws were unconstitutional. unconstitu-tional. The court has now held, however, that these laws were valid. This is an important decision, which has been awaited with general interest. |
