Show PUN TROLLEY FORJfHGHAN Brlgham City Aug. 17. This morning morn-ing Ralph E Bristol, secretary and treasurer of the Ogden Portland Cement Ce-ment company, filed with City Recorder Rec-order Hyrum Standing a proposed ordinance granting to tho Ogdcn Portland Cement company a franchise fran-chise to construct and operate an electric railway upon the streets of Brlgham City. The ordinance does not state the particular purpose for which the company wants the franchise, fran-chise, but it is likely that the company com-pany "will build an electric line from this city to Its factory, which Is located lo-cated a' distance of six miles northwest north-west of the city. The ordinance asks for tho prlvl-lege prlvl-lege of using North Main street to the city limits from Forest street, and also for a street from tho Oregon Short Line depot to Sixth East street. Tho company owns valuable gravel beds east of the city, which they intend in-tend to develop sooner or later, In the manufacture of glazed pipes of various kinds. Instead of erecting n factory near the gravel beds, tho company com-pany would haul tho gTavol to the cement plant, where a factory would bo erected and operated In connection connec-tion with the cement factory. oo |
