Show FAMOUS CRITIC DIES IN NEW YORK New York. July 5 Franklyn Fylcs. for thirty years dramatic editor and critic of the New York Sun, is dead at his home here of heart disease He was born In Troy, N. Y , 64 years ago and started newspaper work In that city while a hoy. He began as a re-orter re-orter on the Sun when only 20 years old and five years later became dramatic dra-matic critic. His long" service in that rositlon made him due to succeed Wm. Winter as dean of the critics in this city About eight years ago failing health compelled him to leave the Sun and since then he had supplied dramatic dra-matic criticisms and notes to twentj-flve twentj-flve or more out-of-town papers Mr Fyles was the author of several selections of short stories and one book on the stage, called "The Theater Thea-ter and Its People." His most familiar fa-miliar work was "The Girl I Left Behind Be-hind Me." which he wrote in collaboration collabora-tion with David Belasco Other plays from his pen included "Cumberland's Gl" and "The Governor of Kentucky."
