Show Board Hears Two Project Reports Reports on the hot lunch and health programs featured the semi-monthly session of the Cache County School board held Thursday, Clerk Lloyd M. Theurer reported today. In his report on the hot lunch program, Mr. Theurer said 45,000 meals were served by 14 centers servicing 17 district schools during dur-ing the month of January. Approximately Ap-proximately $6000 is being received re-ceived from the federal and state government each month to provide pro-vide funds for operation of the centers, he pcinted out. The health report revealed that 34 students in the district schools had submitted to X-ray examination examin-ation following tuberculin skin patch tests. Of the 34, 22 were found negative and 11 only slightly slight-ly positive. They have been asked to return in six or 12 months for another check-up. In the victory corps program, nurses have examined 83 boys and 118 girls in the senior and junior classes at South Cache high school. Of this group only about 20 per cent were entirely free from physical defects. Approximately Approxi-mately the same findings are reported from North Cache. Other items on the report included in-cluded the innoculation, physical examination in elementary schools and dental health programs. |
