Show County Tops Drive Quota; Director Praises Workers Purchases of "E" Bonds Tops Quota by 130 Percent Cache county residents oversubscribe. over-subscribe. the county quota for the Fourth War Loan drive by $35,223.10, William Peterson, campaign cam-paign director, announced today after final computations on purchases pur-chases showed that a total of $1,430,735 worth of bonds had been sold. County purchases of inflation-combating inflation-combating series "E" bonds was $701,800, with subscriptions exceeding ex-ceeding the $539,500 quota by 130 per . cent, . compared . . with 67 per cent national, and a 79 per cent state average. "The announcement by Chairman Chair-man Peterson represents a conser-j, conser-j, vative statement of the outstanding outstand-ing job done by the Cache county organization and reflects again the fine tradition which the people peo-ple of Cache county have established estab-lished in every previous war loan drive," declared Frederick P. Champ, Area Co-ordinator for the State War Finance committee. "I believe it can be said safely that every potential bond purchaser pur-chaser in Cache county has been asked to subscribe, and what is more the thoroughness of the canvass can-vass is evidenced by the fact that Director Peterson and his coworkers co-workers have a complete record of this canvass by districts, communities com-munities and (smaller divisions, he said. "I confidently believe that Cache county" has set the pace for the rest of the state in the intensive-ness intensive-ness of the canvass which has been carried out under the able leadership of Director Peterson and his divisional and community commun-ity chairmen. Furthermore, the record of sales within Cache county to business cranizations, corporations and taxing units, to which more than $600,000.00 of bonds were sold, also is one to be proud of."
