Show j Smithfield Slates Latin Talks Educators Will Appear on Program Two outstanding authorities on Pan-American affairs will discuss agricultural relations with Latin America at a public meeting Sat. urday at 8 p.m. in the Smithfield library building, officers of sponsoring spon-soring organizations announced today. to-day. Speakers will be Dr. R. Welling Well-ing Roskelley, chairman of the western policy committee, who is a native of Smithfield and on leave from the Colorado State Agricultural college faculty, and Harry E. Terrell, mid-westerner who has traveled extensively in South America. The meeting will be sponsored by the Smithfield Kiwanis club, of which A. W. Chambers is president, pres-ident, and by the two Smithfield farm bureau organizations, led by presidents George Mather and William Erickson. The tour of the two experts is sponsored by the Carnegie foundation. "The meeting will be open to any interested persons," Mr. Chambers said, "and we are specially spe-cially anxious to have good representation rep-resentation from Cache county farmers, as the problems of Pan-American Pan-American relationships are of vital vi-tal interest to our agriculture." Dr. Roskelley will present the principal address at the meeting, and Mr. Terrell will give a lecture lec-ture illustrated by motion pictures pic-tures taken in South America. |
