Show Red Cross Unit Formed at USAC Caroline M. Hendricks Named Chairman With an increasing demand for Red Cross college units, a charter char-ter has been granted to Utah State Agricultural college by national na-tional Red Cross officials for the establishment of a unit on the v campus, college officials report. It has been requested that en unlimited supply of articles needed need-ed in hospitals such as bed slippers, slip-pers, hospital kits, wash clothes and many other handy articles be made by the college unit. Under the direction of Professor Evan B. Murray, chairman of the Cache county Red Cross the chapter chap-ter was organized during the past W'eek. Mrs. Caroline M. Hendricks, dean of women at the college, is chairman of the unit. Assisting t committeemen are Dr. Daryl Chase director of the LDS institute; Dr. W. W. Richards, LDS institute; Winifred Amacher of Logan, Associated As-sociated Women students president; presi-dent; Lila Ralphs of Logan, Lambda Lam-bda Delta Sigma president; Elizabeth Eliza-beth C. Barlow of Lay ton, pan-hellenic pan-hellenic president, and Andrus H. Kimball, secretary. Plans have been completed for the conversion of the recreational room at the LDS institute on college col-lege hill into a center for Red Cross activities. The room will be open four hours five days a week, 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. and 2 p. m. , to 4 p. m. During these hours college col-lege women will work on the needed need-ed articles. Arrangements for various var-ious groups to work during the evening hours will be made, Dean Hendricks, explained. |
