Show COUNTIES TO ELECT AAA COMTTEEMEH Elections of county and community com-munity committeemen to administer adminis-ter the 1941 AAA Program will be held in all counties and most of the communities of Utah during November, Sidney J. Nebeker, chairman of the state AAA committee, com-mittee, announced Wednesday. These elections will probably be held after November 15. The date will be posted in each community and county at least ten days before be-fore they are held. It is necessary that the elections be over and the organization of the county agricultural conservation conserva-tion associations be completed on or before December 31, 1940. The community elections are to elect one active community committeeman com-mitteeman and two alternates. Also Al-so at the community election a delegate and an alternate delegate to the county convention are to be elected. At the county convention three county committeemen and two alternates al-ternates are to be elected. One of the committeemen is to be elected chairman of the county committee commit-tee and one vice chairman. Farmers are being urged to elect as chairman a memuci v. the county association who is thoroughly thor-oughly familiar with the conditions condi-tions in the county, who has well-defined well-defined qualities of leadership and who is able to devote the time necessary for the successful administration ad-ministration of the AAA Program. "Every farmer who is cooperating cooperat-ing in the AAA Program or who has indicated his intentions to participate in the program during the coming year should take an active part In the election ii his community," Mr. Nebeker declared. All farmers who are cooperating in any of the agricultural program pro-gram under the AAA or who have signed up to participate in 1941 are members of the county agricultural agri-cultural conservation association and as such are eligible to vote in the community elections. And only farmers who have these qualifications as voters are eligible to hold office either as community or county committeemen committee-men or alternates. |
