Show LITTLE THEATRE SELECTS PLAY "The Importance of Being Earnest," Earn-est," a comedy by Oscar Wilde has been chosen as the second college Little Theater play of the season, it has been announced by Professor Profes-sor Floyd T. Morgan, assistant pro- fessor of speech and director of the play. The first presentation will be Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" which will be presented pre-sented on November 18, 19, and 20. Professor Morgan believes the Oscar Wilde play is the most hilarious hi-larious case of manufactured mistaken mis-taken identnty he has experienced in his study of theatrical productions, produc-tions, as he began preparations for try-outs. It is expected that rehearsals will begin early in November No-vember providing at least six weeks of practice before the presentation pres-entation dates. Synonomous with, the announcement announce-ment of the new play, was the posting of production staff members mem-bers of "Much Ado About Nothing," Noth-ing," which Is being directed by Dr Chester J. Myers, acting head of the speech department. Following Follow-ing is a list of the selections: Winifred Win-ifred Wilkinson of Logan, prompter; promp-ter; Warren L. Caldwell of Salt Lake City, Joyce Adney of Cor-rine, Cor-rine, Aaron Roylance of Roy, Martin Mar-tin Edwards, Max Wadsworth and Milo Nelson of Logan, S. Kent Howard of Huntington, Rosamund Hurst of Blanding, Barbara Fitzgerald Fitz-gerald of Kamas, vPhyliss Stoddard Stod-dard of Richmond, Mary Costley of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Iva Pixton of Draper, stage crews. Dr Myers also announced that two part-time Jobs or fellowships will be awarded soon to two worthy wor-thy and capable male students. my mn - The work will consist of constructing construct-ing scenery and stage settings for the five Little Theatre plays, which has been done heretofore by Professor Morgan. Other plays to be presented during dur-ing the season are "High Tor" and "Valley Forge," by Maxwell Anderson Ander-son Both will be directed by Dr. Albert O. Mitchell, newly appointed ap-pointed instructor of speech at the college, and a third play to be directed by Mrs. Kenneth Vander-hoff, Vander-hoff, prominent Logan play director, di-rector, has not been named. |
