Show Mary Jane Hill Services Held Funeral services for Mrs. 7dary J. Hill were held in the :Smithfeld First ward chapel "Wednesday, May 7, 19 41. Prayer at her home in Logan Lo-gan was offered by Bishop Geo. E. Kingsford. The choir, with Mrs. Bertha Mather at .the organ, directed by Mrs. M. T. Van Orden, sang ''Sister Thou Wast Mild and Lovely." Opening prayer was offered by Bishop George G. Nelson. Duet by Mrs. Naomi Kidd and .'Eleise Misner of Logan. Talk by Bishop G. L. Rees. Solo by Alton Haris. Talk by President Cranney of the Logan Temple. Duet by Mrs. Forester Clay-pool Clay-pool and Mrs. Seth Godfrey. Talks by Bshop C. J. Plowman Plow-man and Harper W. Noble. Solo, Wilda Hill. Remarks by Bishop M. T. Van -Orden. Closing song, "O My Father" fry the choir The benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by Bishop W. Hazen Hillyard. The grave in the city cemetery -was dedicated by Bishop Charles "England of Logan. Mary Jane Only Hill, 77, widow of the late Aaron James Hill of Smithfield, died Sunday morning in a Logan '-osrpital where she Jiad "been for the past week suffering suf-fering from stroke. Mrs. Hill was a daughter of Moroni and Lovisa Hamilton Hill and was born January Janu-ary 15, 1864, in Mill Creek, Salt Xake County. Her parents were early pioneers of this state. . Mrs. Hill has been an active church worker all her life. About four years ago she moved to Logan from her Smithfield home and has been engaged in temple work since that time. Mrs. Hill's husband died nine years ago. For severalmonths past she has made her home' with her daughter, Mrs. Melva Sea- mons of the Logan Second ward. Survivors include her daughters: daugh-ters: Mrs. Sara L. Winn, and Mrs. Susannah Smith of Trenton, Mrs. May Reed of Smithfield and Mrs. Seamons, two sons, Roy Hill of Bountiful and Aaron J. Hill of Dayton, Idaho; a brother Hyrum Quinney and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Heaps, both of Smithfield; 30 grandchildren and 17 great .grandchildren. a . |
