Show Priority Granted For Newton Dam Senator Abe Murdock has advised ad-vised Frederick P. Champ, chairman chair-man of the military committee of the Logan chamber of commerce, which has been active in promoting promot-ing the Newton Irrigation project, that the War Production Board has approved an application for priority assistance for the project. The FSA will use the priority in connection with the land development de-velopment which will oe required under the Newton Reservoir project, pro-ject, Mr. Champ explained. "The action taken supplements the priority already granted for the completion of the reservoir construction by the Bureau of Reclamation and recognized the interdependent relationship of the two activities in completion of the project as a whole," he said. Mr. Champ explained that certain cer-tain restrictions are attached to the approval as transmitted, includes in-cludes the necessity that the progress of the work indicated that the food benefits will accrue in sufficient time to justify the continuation of the work; also that no new additional or replacement re-placement construction equipment of certain types be requested to finish the work. After consultation with I. Donald Don-ald Jerman, bureau of reclamation project director. Mr. Champ said he felt that the action taken would assure the completion of the project in all respects this season. |
