Mr. and Mrs. David Thornpson -were guests of Mrs. Violet. Thompson Thomp-son at Logan on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Godfrey and daughter Elizabeth spent the week end at Midvale where they visited with their son Ralph who is in - an army camp near Midvale They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson. W. E. Johnson of Nibley was a business visitor in Clarkston on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Thompson and children Vance and Thelma spent the week in Salt Lake City. CLARICSTON j : $ CLARKSTON M. I. A. conference confer-ence was held Sunday evening, September 6th. Superintendent Maggie Jardine conducted and the following program was presented. Singing led by Ella Loosle with Loa Stuart accompanist; prayer, Hyrum Buttars. The ward officers were sustained by stake board members Ellen Clark and Byron J. Loosle. Trio, Annie Griffin, Le-ola Le-ola and Wanda Rasmussen, Sarah Heggie accompanist; talks, Supt. Dallas Goodey, Joseph P. Malm-berg. Malm-berg. Lowell Christensen, James Ravsten and Miss Beth Godfrey; duet. Mrs. Joseph Burt and Mrs. Joseph Griffin. The M. I. A. theme was treated by Sarah Godfrey; God-frey; reading, Leslie Christensen; piano solo, Mrs. B. M. Griffin; prayer, Sarah Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sorensen of Garland were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph G. Christensen on Sunday.
