Show ILCSAH MAKING FLAtiS jTO CELEBRATE On of the outstanding floats i for the 24th of July Celebration in Logan will be the Pioneer Queen Float to be built by the Cynthia Benson camp and the Sego Lilly camp of the Daughters Daugh-ters of the Pioneers of Hyrum and the float will be sponsored by the Cache County Chapter of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Mrs. Finette Williams Allen of Hyrum will be the Pioneer Queen to ride on the float. Mrs. Allen is the first white child born in Hyrum more than 80 years ago. The Pioneer Queen float will be in the parade and in the Fireworks Fire-works Pageant Drama in the US-AC US-AC stadium in the evening. This float has number 13 position in the drama and as it passes around the course, Frank Baugh Jr. will sing "That Wonderful Mother of Mine'' over the loud speaker as an accompaniment. Next to the Pioneer Float is the float commemorating the One Hundredth Anniversary of the organization of the Relief Society So-ciety in the LDS church. This float is being sponsored by the Cache and Logan Stake Relief Societies and promises to be one of the best floats for the parade and the fireworks pageant. Other floats to come in the parade are the Red Cross, Logan City Recreational Council or Playground Play-ground Association, The LDS Primary Association of the Cache and Logan Stakes, Logan Wild Life Federation, Logan Plunge, C. C. Anderson, Sears Roebuck, Crystal Furniture Company, Rotary Ro-tary Club, Lions, Kiwanis, Many floats from other business firms of the city will be announced later. Ray Theurer, manager of the Providence Pioneer Pageant has asked for space of one city block, in the parade, for the representations represen-tations from Providence. The Central Cen-tral Celebrations committee urges ur-ges all people of Logan and the valley as far as possible to attend at-tend the evening pageant in Providence Pro-vidence July 23rd. It will also be presented the evening of July 24th. The Central Celebrations committee com-mittee has had a number of the old vehicles kept at the Logan Diesel Plant repaired and painted. paint-ed. The stage coach, two surreys, one ludlow, one mail cart, two hand carts, one covered wagon, and one single buggy of this collection col-lection will be used for the parade. Most of the vehicles will also be used in the fireworks pageant. Fire Chief Rapp and his boys at the Department have started on the construction of the Liberty Liber-ty float to represent Logan City in the parade and the fireworks pageant. Its position is number 18 and ' the last to go around the course in the stadium.
