Show Professor Coe Honored by Horticulturists ' Professor F. M. Coe, research professor of horticulture at Utah State Agricultural college has been elected vice-chairman of the western west-ern section of the American So-iety So-iety for Horticultural Science, according ac-cording to word received from Dr. W. W. Aldrich of Indio, California, Califor-nia, secretary of the society. Professor Coe is widely known in Utah and the western states for his research studies in the introduction, testing, breeding, and indentification of new varieties of fruits for Utah, as well as -studies In cherry pollination, peach maturity matur-ity indexes, fruit tree rootstocks. frozen fruits and fruit juices. He is a graduate of Oregon State college col-lege and Iowa State college, and has been in cnarge of teacning and research work in pomology in horticulture at the college since ! 1927.
