Show Stabilize Price Of Hay, Feed Dairy Farmers Protected by Action Designed to protect farmers against increases above the September Sep-tember 1942 level in prices of dairy feeds, including hay, a dairy feed program effective for the period October 1 through December 31, 3943 was announced announc-ed today by Alphonso Christcn-sen, Christcn-sen, chairman oi the Cache county coun-ty AAA committee. Payment will be made direct to dairy producers upon submitting submit-ting to the county AAA committee commit-tee satisfactory evidence as to the quantity of whole milk or butter-fat butter-fat sold. For whole milk, the sales records much show the hundred-weight of milk delivered not the butterfat content. For butlerfat sales, the records must show the pounds of butterfat sold. In the case of butter, sold as such, tlie payment rate will be 80 per cent of the butterfat rate. For cream, sold for consumption as such, the payment rate will be 20 per cent of the butterfat rate. The payment rate for whole milk i 3,5 cents per hund-red-weigbt and for butterfat 4 cents per. pound in all counties in Utah. Mr. Christensen advised all dairy farmers to keep accurate records of their sales of milk and butterfat and present them to the county AAA office. The first payments pay-ments made may be expected to cover October sules and will be made as soon as the procedure and forms are received. |
