Show Cache Communities Name Tickets For Elections on N ovember 2 Several Cache communities an- r.cunced canddiat-es for municipal I oifices in November 2 elections today to-day as selection of community tickets throughout the county neared completion. Candidates have been announced I so far by parties in Lewiston, Hyde Pjrk, Smithfield, Miliviile, Wells-viile, Wells-viile, Providence, Hyrum, Richmond Newton and Mendon, but no reports re-ports have been received on political poli-tical activity in other communities. communi-ties. Some of the smaller towns have no governmental organization and will not hold elections. The Smithfield People's party nominated Glen R. Winn for his second term as mayor, with Leo Nelson as four-year councilman; Wilford Reese, Seth Chambers and Arthur Peterson as two-year coun-cilmen; coun-cilmen; John H. Peterson as recorder re-corder and Nora S. Johnson as treasurer. L. Calder Smith is the hodlover councilman. The Citizen's party seeks to win favor with George G. Nelson as candidate for mayor; M. T. Van Orden as four-year councilman; Lowell T. Plowman, Don Chambers and Virgil Merrill as two-year council members; Klliott Thornley as recorder and Mrs. Elsie Read as treasurer. In Mendon, Mayor Vance D. Walker was renominated to head a Republican party ticket comprised primarily of incumbents, Durrel Hughes, party chairman, reports. Only candidate nominated who is not now serving is Verland Shelton, proposed to succeed Earl Buist as cotmcilman. Other candidates candi-dates are John O. Hughes for four-year councilman; Mr. Shelton, Shel-ton, Melvin Muir and Reeves Bird for two-year councilman; Howard Baker for recorder and Bessie Biggs for treasurer. Holdover councilman is Wilford Larsen. The slate will be opposed by a Citizen's party ticket chosen earlier ear-lier which includes H. C. Stauffer for mayor, Mr. Buist for four-year councilman, Joseph A. Larsen, Thomas K. Sorenson and Fred Taylor for two-year c-ouncilmen, Stephen Muir for clerk and Lucy Willie for recorder. The Miliviile Citizens' party ticket proposed Edwin HU1 for town board president, Parley Jes-sop Jes-sop for four-year board member, son for two-year board members, son fro two-year board members. The Democratic party in Miliviile Mili-viile nominated Charles Anderson for board president, Edward Know-les Know-les for four-year member, and Aaron Pehrson and Andrew Iver-son Iver-son for two-year terms. Vaughan Scott is holdover member. Renominating most of the present pre-sent officials, the Hyrum Republican Republi-can party listed John W. The Newton Citizens' party selected se-lected Royden Benson as candidate for mayor, D. B. Clarke and Amos Griffin for councilmen. The People's Peo-ple's party nominated Stanley F.
