Word has been received of the birth of a baby girl to Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Squires, of Logan, at the Budge hospital, Saturday, February Feb-ruary 27. The new arrival is the first girl in the family. She is welcomed by two brothers. Mrs. Squires was formerly Miss Lila Daines. R. S. McQuarrie returned home Thursday evening from a ten day business trip to Idaho Falls and Rexburg. Miss Zelpha Nielsen left Friday evening for Los Angeles after a visit with her parents, Mr. and 'Mrs.' Thomas Nielsen. . The William Hyde camp of the D. U. P. met at the home of Mrs. Leora Seamons, Friday afternoon. The" Jesson on . "Outdoor Playgrounds" Play-grounds" was given by Captain Oneita Waite. Histories of early playgrounds was given by Mrs. Hannah Christensen, Mrs. Eliza Thurston, Mrs. Jane Lamb, and Mrs. Hattie Lee. An old music box was displayed by Mrs. Andrea Lamb. Refreshments were served to 15 members. Mrs. Carrie iParson of Provo was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. MeQuarrie, Monday. pHYDE PARK $ HYDE PARK Mrs. Aletha Thurston entertained at a bridge luncheon at her home recently. The guests included Myrtle Balls, Gertrude Perkes, Lila Purser, Andrea An-drea Lamb, Ruby Reeder, Orma Thurston, Leona Balls, Edna Kir-by, Kir-by, Evelyn Kirby, Susie Moose, Bonnie Wooif, Avon Purser, Wilda Thurston and Catherine Woolf of Hyde Park, Vella Seamons of North Logan, Gladys Jensen, Zella Ault, and Enetta Knowles of Logan Lo-gan and Harriet Balls of Brigham City. Score prizes were won by Evelyn Kirby, Zella Ault and Gladys Jensen. The J.FiF. Club met at the home of Mrs. Thora Balls Friday afternoon. after-noon. The time was spent playing play-ing bridge with prizes going to Carma Balls and Myrtle Balls. Luncheon was served to 14 club members and Myrtle Balls, Phebe . Friends and relatives of Mrs. Fred Woolf are pleased to learn that she is now recovering from a critical operation performed recently re-cently in Idaho Falls.
