Show In Memoriam- Mrs. Cecelia Sharp Craw'erd.dautrhter of Nathaniel and Cecelia Sharp was born at Clack Mauaan, Scotland, September 27, J833, was married in Salt Lake April 5,1853, anl died at Manti March 31, 1S02, of apoplexy. The beloved mother leaves a targe family of children and husband: Elizabeth Thompson of Sterling,Cecelia Peterson of Manti, James B. of Orange-ville, Orange-ville, Ella Westfall, Quiuce and Kate of Mauti. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and was much beloved by all who knew her, Her last sickness was brought on while -lie was having anxious care over her little grand daughter. The funeral services were held last Saturday at the tabernacle, and the following members bore testimony to her Christian qualities of mind and heart as afaithfnl member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: Warren Snow, J. C. A. Weibye, J. II Wodskow, George Scott, James Ware-ham Ware-ham and Bishop Reid. Her loss cast a saduess over the city and especially the older element. One by one they are going. When they struggled iu the early days against the hardships and privations all pioueers meet, when they all together were brought into the social condition as one family, she was among the leading in ministering in time of sickness and distress and giving giv-ing encouragineut to the despondents. Now that she is no more, all these old memories come up in the minds of the pioneers of Sanpete to all of whom her memory will remain green iu the thonghts of those she loved. Katie Cecelia Thompson, daughter of John and Elizabeth Thompson of Sterling, Ster-ling, born December 19, ISSijlied March 29. She had been stopping with her grandmother, Mrs. Cecelia Crawford, since January 23d last, and was taken away by spinal niengenittis. |
