Show Typographical Errors. American authors, no less than English, Eng-lish, sometimes suffer for the sins of the printer. A line of Mr. Aldrich's, which originally read, "A potent medicine medi-cine for gods and men," was misprinted "A patent medicine," etc.- And Mr. Aldrich's equanimity was upset on another an-other occasion because in a serious mood he wroto iu one of his poems, "Now the old wounds break out afresh," and was horrified to read that he had 6aid "Now the old woman breaks out afresh."
