Show EDITORIAL JOTS- AN EDUCATIONAL CONVENTION. CON-VENTION. Commissioner Boreman has issued iss-ued invitations to fill school officers to attend an educational convention, (c be he'd in Salt Lake City, April 8th. The intention is to make (he school- systems more uniform, and to advance the cause of edu at on generally. We like to see such movements inaugurated. The question of education ed-ucation is !he one on h.eh hangi-our hangi-our whole future hstory, and as civilized being?, we cannot afford toal'osv such an important .subject, to tV ram of i-tself Tn nninhpri. is found wisdom, and when our school officers aasoicate logt-tlier they get the beuelilof the experience ot others-It others-It is something too which all should ei co.iraje, snd every scfcoel officers should bei nxious to attend. There ore many things lucking ia our present i-chool system and the want is felt by al who are interested in the suhj-ct, and what patrotie citzen is not inteie.-ied iu it, . We believe the convention can be made one ot great public hem th and recommend all who are invi ed to attend, to do their ittmust t- main; it a success. WVd Me Allisier says, I can safely s.iy that Mr, Cleveland Cleve-land may look forward to an honored hon-ored position in Sew York so it-ty if he performs his tociai dutivn a; Washington adequately." Here is a bright future for Mr. Cleveland to look forward to, and when his hours are the darkest he can-like a christian martyr look n head to the bright future before him. We would'nt be sup rise J to learn that it was to attain ibis position pos-ition .that he was willing to accept the. inferior position of I're.-ident. He n,ay have "become the servant serv-ant ofall that he may be master of all." The Enquirer call this- weather, "between Winter and Spring." When sno-v falls all Ihe time, and ihe water pipes freeze up at nights, and you have a hard lime to get a load of coal, it is not hard- ly fair to call it anything but winter, Harrison limde a speech and Cleveland made another, and the Tribune and Herald are having a hard time as to nh:h speech is the Ia-st.
