Show Ross Lang left Tuesday for Salt Lake City, where he expected to get employment. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Palmer went to Salt Lake City Sunday, where Mr. Palmer was to seek medical attention. A fcaby boy was born Saturday, May 16, at the local hospital to Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Fugate. Mrs. Fugate is the former Miss Ruby Patterson. Mrs. J. H. Weston -went to Las Vegas this week to be with her sister, Mrs. Frank Crookston, who was to undergo an operation. Mrs. J. P. Holm, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. D. B. James and Pfc. Clifton B. James of the 11th Cavalry, motored to San Francisco Fran-cisco to visit with Bud James, who has been assigned to a des'troyer in the United States navy. The latter had just arrived in port. Mr. and Mrs. Oakley Nelson and baby son Larry of Provo visited in Milford over the -week-end with Mrs. Nelson's parents, Mr. and J. S. Tribole, and other relatives and friends. Mr. Nelson was in command of the Provo C C C camp and since it is to ibe abandoned he will be transferred to Garden Valley, Val-ley, Idaho, where they will make their future home. Mrs. Roy Cottrell left Sunday for Salt Lake City, where she represented re-presented the local lodge at the Rebekah Grand Assembly being held there this week. Mys. Cottrell Cot-trell is to be joined in Salt Lake City by her husband, who is returning re-turning home from a visit in Ohio. I The two will return to Milford the last of the week. The G. I. A. mennbea-s were entertained at the Union Pacific dining room last Thursday with a luncheon given by Mrs. J. D. Johnston, Mrs. Frank Dearman and Mrs. John Schow. Lovely , tulips and lilacs were used as 'decorations. After the luncheon j the women went to the home of Mrs. Johnston, where bridge was i enjoyed. Mrs. W. G. White was the winenr of the high points prize and Mrs. Glen Barnes the high honors prjize while Mrs. Heber Myers received the consolation consola-tion prize. Mrs. Frank Sullivan of Salt Lake City was presented with a guest prize. Others present were Mrs. G. C. Cuddy, Mrs. J. S. Killam of Cedar City, Mrs. Vern Shingleton, Mrs. Spencer Whit-taker Whit-taker and Mrs. O. R. Smith. |
