Show GOOD-BYE "SALT LAKE" The name "Salt Lake" will officially offi-cially pass into railroad history on October 1, when all tickets, baggage checks and stationery with the old name of the newly acquired Union Pacific properties will virtually be thrown in the waste paper basket, according to instructions received by T. C. Peck, general passenger agent of the Union Pacific lines, formerly known as the Salt Lake. The nam? plates on all overland trains are now worded Union Pacific and the le:ter-i ing on cars and locomotives is soon' to be replaced, removing all trace of the former name of the railroad. On October 1 the Salt Lake tickets stationery and baggage checks will be changed and Union Pacific stationery sta-tionery substituted. |
