It is Mr. Runner's business to do nil In his power and the power ol tho railroad, to develop anything which will bring business to the railroad, but more particularly he is ' assist In developing the agricultural agricul-tural resources of the territory tributary tribu-tary to the railroad, to encourage the farmers already on the land and Induce In-duce farmers to locate on the vacant va-cant lands to get new crops going and mills and factories running. One thing in particular, he suggested, sug-gested, which Is ,or should be of Interest In-terest to farmers in this territory, is the establishing of a dehydrating plant here for the preparing and preserving pre-serving of vegetables and fruits. Mr. Burtner says he has a man who Is desirous of finding a location where he can be assured an acreage large enough to Justify the building of a large plant. IT's idea Is to establish a large central plant with smaller units in town off the railroad, where the preliminary work could be don" and then the product taken to the central plant for finishing and packing. pack-ing.
