Show Puts Baby to S'eep by Gluing Eyelids Shut Kansas City. A new "sleeping potion" po-tion" was discoveed by Isabelle Peterson, Peter-son, three years old. Isabelle proved its efficacy in a try-out try-out on her baby brother, Don, ten months old. Isabelle, along about Don's bedtime, found a bottle of glue. The oozy stuff, she noted, made it hard for her to spread apart her fingers. In his crib Don kicked nnd cooed, staring wide-eyed at the ceiling. Isabelle decided Don's eyes ought to be closed tightly In sleep. She spread some of the sticky stuff on his eyelids. They shut and stayed shut, but his little lit-tle mouth opened wide and from it came infantile bellows of protest. At General hospital, hot water and delicately handled scissors proved effective ef-fective antidotes. They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Peterson, 403 Landis court. |
